Certification Alert:

As the industry’s gold standard, ACSM is committed to protecting the reputation of its certifications and all who hold them.

The American College of Sport Medicine’s review process has identified irregular testing behavior at a limited number of certification test centers from January – November 2016.

As a precaution, ACSM withheld scores for candidates who attempted an exam at these locations until we completed our initial investigation. A secondary investigation is now ongoing. These steps are necessary for protecting the integrity of ACSM’s application, assessment or certification processes. Those who are directly affected by this investigation have already been contacted.

If you have not been contacted, the current investigation does not have any effect on your exam score or certification status.

Additionally, the identified certification test centers are not currently administering or scheduling ACSM certification exams. If you are currently scheduled to take an exam, it means that your testing center is not affected and your exam will continue as planned on the scheduled date and time.

If you have questions regarding the investigation process, please visit this link: https://certification.acsm.org/irregularbehavior
